SEIKO COMPUTER lens

Many of us spend much of the day at a desk using a computer. It has been calculated that during one day a PC user may make about 30,000 head movements to focus on the screen, keyboard and paperwork. When using a PC we mainly focus on objects at distances of 30cm to 100cm from the eye. It is likely though that intermittently we will also want to look across a room.

Around the age of forty the majority of people need some sort of corrective eyewear to see near objects. Wearing reading lenses when using a PC is very inconvenient as it is necessary to keep moving ones head. To look across a room the reading spectacles need to be removed. A better solution is ‘progressive’ lenses which focus at all distances, but traditional progressive lenses have a relatively narrow area which focuses on the PC screen. This results in a lot of head movement and discomfort.

SEIKO COMPUTER is designed specifically for people who use computers providing clear vision and requiring minimal head movement. This increases wearer comfort and reduces fatigue.
